Response to the bill for a new childcare financing system as a potential mother:
1. I hope the Netherlands stays strong with more child births. The Netherlands' fertility rate's decline is stronger in women with low education level than women with high education level. It can be for socialeconomic reasons. This act can help ease financial pressure on potential mothers.
2. In my case, just seeing the proposal eases pressure mentally. The mental change inevitably impacts how I choose my career path and what I do with dating.
With weaker child support I would choose less ambitious role because I want to avoid the risks of not having enough time for my future child.
3. There's urgency in it. The plan of "$10-a-day early learning and child care system" in Canada pays off for every dollar invested reportedly. The sooner the Netherlands implements this, the sooner the financial return.
4. For the shortage of staff and funds, innovative strategies in selecting and training professionals can help. For example, design a special fast track learning program for unemployed gifted individuals with interests in child care because they learn things fast and they are great educators due to their intuitive thinking and strong empathy.
