I believe it would be a grave misstep for the Dutch government to reverse its current informed stance on these chemicals. Rather than emulating the US's misguided "war on drugs", a policy born out of fear, ignorance and deliberate malice, the Netherlands should remain a more enlightened place, where research can be conducted in a safe and constructive manner. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we find solutions to the problems we face, rather than creating new ones. I beg of you, don't take this backwards step.
