However, Germany's recent decision to offer permanent residency after just three years to high-skill workers is likely to have a significant, detrimental effect on the Netherlands' high-tech industry. Given Germany's larger market volume and the promise of a better future for immigrants, skilled individuals will likely choose German companies over Dutch ones. To remain competitive and secure a share in future technological advancements, the Netherlands must urgently improve its ability to attract and retain foreign high-skill workers by offering more appealing incentives.In the light of above details I strongly opposed this decision for the better future of the Netherlands.
