Just imagine what it's like for people who consciously chose the Netherlands, go to work here, pay huge taxes, take out mortgages, have children, learn the language and the laws, want to get a passport so they can be fully integrated into society, not live in constant anxiety about being deported or something bad happening, and they're told, "Well, just wait a little longer, you'll live in anxiety for another 5-6-7 years."
When I go to the doctor with yet another round of complaints, she says, "Oh, you must have that much stress in your life?" – yes, a lot. If you decide to make it 10 years, maybe you'll also go into medicine as well, huh? Let us, the people who will have to wait twice as long in stress, have better, more attentive treatment in clinics.
