I am a student here, and I want to build my career and life in the Netherlands. However, the fact that it may take 10 years to obtain a passport and become a citizen makes me anxious. What if, after two years, the company I am working for goes bankrupt? Would I be forced to return to my home country and start my career all over again? That feels unfair. I am a specialist and can contribute to the Dutch tech community, but under this rule, I am seriously considering migrating to another country.
I kindly urge you to reconsider this rule.
