Such a measure would only put a disproportionate burden on newcomers and create years of uncertainty which undermine the integration process.
When this naturalisation and recognition is postponed for an additional five years, it will weaken the motivation of newcomers to invest in Dutch society, discourage them from learning the language and delay full participation, as the timeline becomes too long and unclear. It will create more alienation and a stronger sense of being an outsider.

Moreover, there is no clear evidence that the advantages of this measure outweigh its disadvantages. If the real aim is integration, I believe more effective integration-focused initiatives would achieve this goal, rather than prolonging the waiting period.
