The current 5-year naturalization period provides a reasonable timeframe for assessing someone's cultural integration in the Netherlands.

Extending this period to 10 years doesn't guarantee or ensure that they become fully integrated into the culture.Besides, it will repel the Highly skilled migrates to consider even moving to the nation, even though it excels at all other aspects as one of the great places to live.

I am opposed to extending the duration any further than 5 years, as it not only attracts but also retains talent in this country. And those who are willing to stay in the country by attaining citizenship would do anything to become a part of the Dutch society within these 5 years itself.
