I am a resident in Netherlands, came here to do my LLM on Law and Technology via a EU-funded scholarship (Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme) and I am about to start my orientation year visa. I am a lawyer of 5 years and came here to expand my expertise.

I am o the opinion this bill will highly discourage talent coming into the Netherlands. People have the incentive to come and make a new life here, because they hope that they can naturalize here. 10 years, on the other hand, makes it significantly harder for people and they will have less incentives to choose Netherlands.

Please consider my humble opinions on the matter. This is a very bad bill for the Netherlands' standing in the international arena, as well as the wellbeing of the Dutch people.
