As an expat working in a high tech company, this will impact us a lot. The longer requirement would mean that we will just explore nearby opportunities like in Germany and where we can get naturalization faster. The highly skilled migrants should be at least exempted because we are contributing fairly to the Dutch government, paying our taxes and even helping the economy.
