I think after a while, it will affect on the market of the Netherland as the high skilled migrants will leave the Netherlands. Also I think this is not fair as they planned to come here knowing they can apply for a Dutch Passport after 5 years. Also extending the 5 years to 10 years make them feel they have enough time and they will not push on learning Dutch language as they could do before So generally I think for the Dutch government there is no benefit out of it.
