Dear committee,

I urge you to reconsider this extension and keep the naturalization period to 5 years. Extending it to 10 years will deter highly skilled migrant professionals who are considering moving here. Their skills are of great benefit to any country and I think it would be in the best interest of the Dutch people if they were to come to the Netherlands instead of taking their talents elsewhere. If someone has a lot of important and useful skills, they have the privilege to choose where they want to go and the Netherlands needs to stay competitive for them. Let's show our commitment to furthering the quality of life and wellbeing for the Netherlands by maintaining our 5 year naturalization period.
