Hi

I came to the Netherlands in Dec 2021. I have been living here for almost 4 years and working in a top tech company with a highly skilled immigrant visa. My partner is Dutch and we have a dog together.
I really like the Netherlands and the people. It has given me many opportunities in life and allowed me to improve my quality of life. Its home to me now. I am a tax paying resident abiding to the rules and contributing to the society in anyway that I can
I have been planning to go through the inburgering process in 2026 to get my Dutch citizenship and extend my association with this country. If the naturalisation period is extended to 10 years it will result in a significant change to my life here. I would be limited in terms of job opportunities and might even have to go back in case of any unfortunate incidents pertaining to my job
I humbly request you to reconsider this time period or provide an option for people like me who have been living for 4 years a way to naturalise as per the existing plan
