- Heeft u algemene op- of aanmerkingen bij het voorgestelde Besluit?- Heeft u diersoortspecifieke op- of aanmerkingen bij het voorgestelde Besluit (kippen, melkvee, kalveren of varkens)?
This is 2025, 25 yrs. after the millennium, haven't we as human beings learned the importance of ethics, humanity & compassion in ALL decisions?
Farm animals give up their lives so human beings can eat them or/& their by-products, the least we can do in return is show ethical concern for their welfare while they live in factory farms. Farmed animals are living breathing beings that feel pain & suffering just as humans do. Common sense.
The government has an obligation & responsibility to give back to farmed animals for their sacrifice of life. What applies to the environment also applies to animals. Things have to change NOW! Time is of the essence. My comments are not emotional, they are factual. Human beings in all areas of life must stop being so superior minded, it is wisdom that tells me that ALL LIFE matters. The earth matters. Why wait until 2040? Why not take action today or next year? FACT: Postponing equals = procrastination. Procrastination equals = doing nothing today. It is insulting to deny good peoples wishes by not listening to them. Politicians must stop promising without immediate actions taken, to do so is lying.
The Animal Welfare Act is intended to protect animals. Last year, the House of Representatives voted to clarify this law and thus make livestock farming truly animal-friendly. Let's fast track - Make this happen today! Now! Farmed animals deserve respect. YES they do!
