Many residents arrived in the Netherlands to study, work, or build a life here, fully expecting to achieve Dutch citizenship under the current five-year rule. This sudden and surprising change completely undermines those long-term plans. It is fundamentally unfair to alter the rules after people have already invested years of their time and significant funds based on the original promise. And another point that, in my opinion after five years I will be fully familiar with the laws and environment of the Netherlands.At least for people like me that my visa is student visa, or for whom that came with work permit.
